The Avett Brothers at the Paramount

This past weekend, Mike and I traveled to Bristol to catch the Avett Brothers playing at the Paramount. The Avett Brothers are one of those bands that if you don't know about them, you soon will. They play a bluegrass-rock-folk music style all their own. They were on Ramseur Records out of Concord, NC, but last week they signed with Columbia Records. Their first big-label album will be produced by Rick Rubin (google him if you don't know him). They won't be a secret for long.

Here's the whole group: Leah and Heath, Scott and Heather Strickler, Katie, Parker, and Branch, Mike, me, and Garrett Line. We're all excited about the Avett Brothers!

Here we are in our seats... The whole group couldn't sit together, so we sat with Katie and Parker. Of course, we weren't sitting long!

There they are!! Bob Crawford on Bass, Scott Avett on Banjo, and Seth Avett on Guitar. Scott and Seth also play a kick drum and symbol set. So talented!
